Psychiatric Telemedicine Policies: Frequently Asked Questions

Scheduling

Is the practice open year-round? Yes. Sol Psychiatric Care is open year-round, providing essential mental health services to our community. Our providers do take scheduled time off throughout the year for vacations, holidays, and personal time. During these periods, appointment availability may be limited, but our online appointment scheduling policies remain accessible for your convenience. You can schedule an appointment through our website at any time, where the calendar will automatically show the next available appointments based on your provider’s schedule. Established patients should plan ahead for medication refills when possible, particularly around holidays or scheduled provider time off. Please allow up to 72 hours for routine refill requests, especially when using psychiatric telemedicine.

Do I have to complete forms before my first visit?

Yes. According to our appointment scheduling policies, intake forms for our mental health services are delivered via the portal to your email when you book. These forms must be completed at least 48 hours before your appointment; otherwise, the appointment will be cancelled. This allows your provider to review them in advance and prepare for your visit, especially for psychiatric telemedicine sessions.

Why do you require a card on file to book?

A card on file is required for all patients under our appointment scheduling policies. General new patients are not charged anything at booking—this card is used only to cover no-show and late cancellation fees, which apply after the fact. This applies to our mental health services and psychiatric telemedicine appointments as well.

How are follow-ups scheduled?

Your provider schedules your next visit at the end of each appointment, ensuring the interval aligns with your clinical needs as part of our appointment scheduling policies. If something changes and you feel you need to be seen sooner, simply message your provider through the portal, and we’ll explore options for getting you in earlier. This flexibility is part of our commitment to delivering quality mental health services, including psychiatric telemedicine.
