Medication management is more than writing prescriptions. It is finding the right medication, at a dose that
works, with side effects you can live with — and being willing to change course when something isn't working.
At each visit we review how you are doing, what has improved, what hasn't, and how you are tolerating
treatment. We explain what each medication does and why we chose it. When lab work or medical factors are
relevant, we account for them.
You should understand your own treatment.
If you don't, ask — that is part of the visit.
Medication is one piece of the picture. During appointments we also use supportive psychotherapy — helping
you make sense of your symptoms, work through stressors, build coping skills, and move toward goals that
actually matter to you.
This is not a replacement for dedicated therapy. When you need deeper or more specialized work, we will help
you find a therapist and coordinate with them.
Understanding what you are dealing with starts with a careful evaluation.
We assess ADHD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, psychotic disorders, and
complex presentations that have never been clearly explained. That means taking a real history — current and
past symptoms, medical and psychiatric background, every medication you have tried and how it worked, family
history, development, and the circumstances of your life. We use validated screening tools where they add
clarity.
Many conditions look alike from the outside. Getting the diagnosis right is what makes the treatment work.
Mental health is not static, and neither is treatment.
At follow-up visits we track your symptoms, your response, side effects, and what has changed in your life. Doses
get adjusted. Medications get switched. Plans get revised.
The goal is a working relationship over time — not a prescription and a wave goodbye.
Sometimes the right next step is something we don't provide.
We coordinate referrals for CBT, DBT, EMDR, TMS, ketamine and esketamine treatment, substance use services,
and other specialized behavioral or medical care when clinically appropriate. We are also glad to work alongside
your therapist, primary care provider, OB-GYN, or other specialists.
Psychiatric care works better when the people involved talk to each other.
