Anxiety can affect both your mind and body. Common symptoms may include excessive worry, racing thoughts, restlessness, irritability, difficulty concentrating, muscle tension, sleep problems, and feeling constantly “on edge.” Some people may also experience physical symptoms such as a racing heart, sweating, shortness of breath, or panic attacks.
At Sol Psychiatric Care, we provide personalized anxiety treatment through medication management and supportive psychotherapy, tailored to your symptoms and individual goals.
When additional therapy support may be beneficial, we can also provide referrals for evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Anxiety is often a more ongoing feeling of worry, fear, or being on edge. It may build gradually and can be triggered by everyday stressors or specific situations. Symptoms can include racing thoughts, muscle tension, irritability, difficulty concentrating, restlessness, and sleep problems.
Panic attacks are sudden episodes of intense fear or discomfort that can feel overwhelming and may seem to come “out of nowhere.” Symptoms can include racing heart, shortness of breath, chest tightness, dizziness, trembling, sweating, nausea, and a feeling of losing control or impending danger.
Panic attacks can be frightening, but effective treatments are available. At Sol Psychiatric Care, treatment is individualized based on your symptoms, history, and goals. Options may include medication management and supportive psychotherapy, along with referrals for evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy.
Exposure therapy can help you gradually and safely face situations, sensations, or fears associated with panic, helping reduce avoidance and build confidence over time. When appropriate, we can also provide referrals to qualified therapists who specialize in panic disorder and exposure-based treatment.
You don't have to let panic control your life.
